Lewis Carroll is very famous for his literature. He had an award named after him called the Lewis Carroll Bookshelf Award. This award was given to an author once a year from 1970 to 1979. The books that won the award must have similar qualities to "Alice in Wonderland". The point of this award was to gather a list of the greatest children's books of all time.
He earned first class honors in Mathematics Moderations. He then got first class honors in the Final Honours School of Mathematics. Carroll also won the Christ Church Mathematical Lectureship.
Lewis Carroll has inspired many authors. He found a way to make humorous stories that have a deeper meaning. He also had seemingly unimportant characters or thing s in his stories that actually represented real life politics, situations, and beliefs.
